Dr. Todd and Lisa Sartor
The owner of Champions Forest Animal Clinic, purchased the practice in 2003. He is a 1994 graduate of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Sartor practiced for 2 years in Lubbock (his home area) and then for 7 years in a mixed animal practice in Canyon Lake. His special areas of interest in veterinary medicine include internal medicine, dermatology, preventative health, and senior/geriatric medicine. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, and the Montgomery County Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Sartor is married to Lisa since 1989. She is a graduate of Texas Tech and the Hospital Manager. They are blessed with 3 daughters, Kelsie, Emily, and Hailey. They are active members of Northwest Bible Church and support various mission ministries. They have a full house of pets - Lucy and Macy, both adopted/rescued pound dogs; Nala, a spoiled Bichon; Princess, the resident cat/owner of the house; and Paco, a loudmouth, wolf-whistling cockatiel. In their spare time, they enjoy hiking, playing on the beach, home improvement projects, and riding dirtbikes!
Dr. Karen Tatum- Dr. Tatum is a 1991 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she immediately fled the frigid midwestern climate for small animal practice in San Antonio. In late 1998, she relocated to Conroe and married husband Larry. Dr. Tatum has experience in emergency practice, general small animal practice, and even a 5 year stint in laboratory animal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine here in Houston. Her time at Baylor was a wonderful learning experience, but it led her to realize that her true passion was in private clinical practice. Dr. Tatum has 2 grown children by marriage and 4 wonderful grandchildren. She and Larry share their home with 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 3 horses- all rescues! They are members of the Ark Church in Conroe. In their spare time, they both enjoy traveling to visit family, gardening, and training horses. Recently, Dr. Tatum has begun showing one of her rescued horses in dressage, a Quarter Horse she rehabilitated after an old injury. Dr. Tatum if a member of AVMA, TVMA, and Montgomery Count VMA. Her areas of special interest are dermatology, internal medicine, and feline medicine.
